ART Long Tract Nerve Entrapment with Gross Anatomy Course

November 13-14, 2010

*Exclusive - Limited Attendance Event
Active Release Techniques® has teamed with Parker College of Chiropractic to offer a unique way to complete the ART® nerve entrapment course. We are introducing the addition of Gross Human Anatomy dissections in conjunction with the Nerve Entrapment seminar. The course is designed to reinforce the fundamental anatomic and procedural knowledge of certified ART Providers. This will be accomplished by providing a review of the gross anatomic components of the peripheral nervous system and the musculoskeletal system and allowing participants to practice and enhance treatment skills through a hands-on portion of the course.

Course Mechanics:
This is a 12-hour course that will contain a laboratory discussion section and a hands-on ART practice section. Prosected cadavers will be demonstrated to the participants. Focus of the anatomy portion will be on peripheral nervous system pathway and relationships to surrounding structures. The hands-on ART practice section will allow participants to apply what was discussed in the anatomy section to the treatment of nerve entrapment syndromes.

Goals of the Course:
  1. Enhancement of participants' anatomic knowledge.
  2. Allow visualization of the structures studied in the course.
  3. Discuss common nerve entrapment sites.
  4. Discuss treatment for nerve entrapments.

Course Objectives:
After completion of the course, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify the structures of the musculoskeletal system.
  2. Identify structures of the peripheral nervous system.
  3. Discuss topics relating to nerve entrapments.
  4. Demonstrate effective methods for treating nerve entrapments.

Course Prerequisites:
Must have already taken the ART Upper Extremity and ART Lower Extremity Courses.
